Al-Balad
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by this city (Makkah); (1) And you are free (from sin and to punish the enemies of Islâm on the Day of the conquest) in this city (Makkah)[] , (2) And by the begetter (i.e. Adam A.S.) and that which he begot (i.e. his progeny); (3) Verily, We have created man in toil. (4) Does he think that none can overcome him? (5) He says (boastfully): “I have wasted wealth in abundance!” (6) Does he think that none sees him? (7) Have We not made for him a pair of eyes? (8) And a tongue and a pair of lips? (9) And shown him the two ways (good and evil)? (10) But he has not attempted to pass on the path that is steep (i.e. the path which will lead to goodness and success). (11) And what will make you know the path that is steep? (12) (It is) Freeing a neck (slave)[] (13) Or giving food in a day of hunger (famine), (14) To an orphan near of kin. (15) Or to a Miskîn (poor) cleaving to dust (out of misery). (16) Then he became one of those who believed, (in the Islamic Monothsim) and recommended one another to perseverance and patience, and (also) recommended one another to pity and compassion. (17) They are those on the Right Hand (i.e. the dwellers of Paradise), (18) But those who disbelieved in Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), they are those on the Left Hand (the dwellers of Hell) (19) The Fire will be shut over them (i.e. they will be enveloped by the Fire without any opening or window or outlet.[] (20)

سُوۡرَةُ البَلَد
بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
لَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِہَـٰذَا ٱلۡبَلَدِ (١) وَأَنتَ حِلُّۢ بِہَـٰذَا ٱلۡبَلَدِ (٢) وَوَالِدٍ۬ وَمَا وَلَدَ (٣) لَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ فِى كَبَدٍ (٤) أَيَحۡسَبُ أَن لَّن يَقۡدِرَ عَلَيۡهِ أَحَدٌ۬ (٥) يَقُولُ أَهۡلَكۡتُ مَالاً۬ لُّبَدًا (٦) أَيَحۡسَبُ أَن لَّمۡ يَرَهُ ۥۤ أَحَدٌ (٧) أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَل لَّهُ ۥ عَيۡنَيۡنِ (٨) وَلِسَانً۬ا وَشَفَتَيۡنِ (٩) وَهَدَيۡنَـٰهُ ٱلنَّجۡدَيۡنِ (١٠) فَلَا ٱقۡتَحَمَ ٱلۡعَقَبَةَ (١١) وَمَآ أَدۡرَٮٰكَ مَا ٱلۡعَقَبَةُ (١٢) فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ (١٣) أَوۡ إِطۡعَـٰمٌ۬ فِى يَوۡمٍ۬ ذِى مَسۡغَبَةٍ۬ (١٤) يَتِيمً۬ا ذَا مَقۡرَبَةٍ (١٥) أَوۡ مِسۡكِينً۬ا ذَا مَتۡرَبَةٍ۬ (١٦) ثُمَّ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِٱلصَّبۡرِ وَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِٱلۡمَرۡحَمَةِ (١٧) أُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَيۡمَنَةِ (١٨) وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا هُمۡ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَشۡـَٔمَةِ (١٩) عَلَيۡہِمۡ نَارٌ۬ مُّؤۡصَدَةُۢ (٢٠)

سورة البَلَد
شروع الله کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے
شروع الله کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے
ہمیں اس شہر (مکہ) کی قسم (۱) اور تم اسی شہر میں تو رہتے ہو (۲) اور باپ (یعنی آدم) اور اس کی اولاد کی قسم (۳) کہ ہم نے انسان کو تکلیف (کی حالت) میں (رہنے والا) بنایا ہے (۴) کیا وہ خیال رکھتا ہے کہ اس پر کوئی قابو نہ پائے گا (۵) کہتا ہے کہ میں نے بہت سا مال برباد کیا (۶) کیا اسے یہ گمان ہے کہ اس کو کسی نے دیکھا نہیں (۷) بھلا ہم نےاس کو دو آنکھیں نہیں دیں؟ (۸) اور زبان اور دو ہونٹ (نہیں دیئے) (۹) (یہ چیزیں بھی دیں) اور اس کو (خیر و شر کے) دونوں رستے بھی دکھا دیئے (۱۰) مگر وہ گھاٹی پر سے ہو کر نہ گزرا (۱۱) اور تم کیا سمجھے کہ گھاٹی کیا ہے؟ (۱۲) کسی (کی) گردن کا چھڑانا (۱۳) یا بھوک کے دن کھانا کھلانا (۱۴) یتیم رشتہ دار کو (۱۵) یا فقیر خاکسار کو (۱۶) پھر ان لوگوں میں بھی (داخل) ہو جو ایمان لائے اور صبر کی نصیحت اور (لوگوں پر) شفقت کرنے کی وصیت کرتے رہے (۱۷) یہی لوگ صاحب سعادت ہیں (۱۸) اور جنہوں نے ہماری آیتوں کو نہ مانا وہ بدبخت ہیں (۱۹) یہ لوگ آگ میں بند کر دیئے جائیں گے (۲۰)
