Ash-Shams
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sun and its brightness; (1) By the moon as it follows it (the sun); (2) By the day as it shows up (the sun’s) brightness; (3) By the night as it conceals it (the sun); (4) By the heaven and Him Who built it; (5) By the earth and Him Who spread it, (6) And by Nafs (Adam or a person or a soul), and Him Who perfected him in proportion; (7) Then He showed him what is wrong for him and what is right for him; (8) Indeed he succeeds who purifies his ownself (i.e. obeys and performs all that Allâh ordered, by following the true Faith of Islâmic Monotheism and by doing righteous good deeds). (9) And indeed he fails who corrupts his ownself (i.e. disobeys what Allâh has ordered by rejecting the true Faith of Islâmic Monotheism or by following polytheism or by doing every kind of evil wicked deeds) (10) Thamûd (people) denied (their Prophet) through their transgression (by rejecting the true Faith of Islâmic Monotheism, and by following polytheism, and by committing every kind of sin). (11) When the most wicked man among them went forth (to kill the she-camel). (12) But the Messenger of Allâh [Sâlih (Saleh) A.S.] said to them: “Be cautious! (Fear the evil end). That is the she-camel of Allâh! (Do not harm it) and bar it not from having its drink!” (13) Then they denied him and they killed it. So their Lord destroyed them because of their sin, and made them equal in destruction (i.e. all grades of people, rich and poor, strong and weak)! (14) And He (Allâh) feared not the consequences thereof. (15)

سُوۡرَةُ الشّمس
بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَٱلشَّمۡسِ وَضُحَٮٰهَا (١) وَٱلۡقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَٮٰهَا (٢) وَٱلنَّہَارِ إِذَا جَلَّٮٰهَا (٣) وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا يَغۡشَٮٰهَا (٤) وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنَٮٰهَا (٥) وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا طَحَٮٰهَا (٦) وَنَفۡسٍ۬ وَمَا سَوَّٮٰهَا (٧) فَأَلۡهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقۡوَٮٰهَا (٨) قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن زَكَّٮٰهَا (٩) وَقَدۡ خَابَ مَن دَسَّٮٰهَا (١٠) كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ بِطَغۡوَٮٰهَآ (١١) إِذِ ٱنۢبَعَثَ أَشۡقَٮٰهَا (١٢) فَقَالَ لَهُمۡ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ نَاقَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَسُقۡيَـٰهَا (١٣) فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمۡدَمَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّهُم بِذَنۢبِهِمۡ فَسَوَّٮٰهَا (١٤) وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقۡبَـٰهَا (١٥)

سورة الشّمس
شروع الله کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے

سورج کی قسم اور اس کی روشنی کی (۱) اور چاند کی جب اس کے پیچھے نکلے (۲) اور دن کی جب اُسے چمکا دے (۳) اور رات کی جب اُسے چھپا لے (۴) اور آسمان کی اور اس ذات کی جس نے اسے بنایا (۵) اور زمین کی اور اس کی جس نے اسے پھیلایا (۶) اور انسان کی اور اس کی جس نے اس (کے اعضا) کو برابر کیا (۷) پھر اس کو بدکاری (سے بچنے) اور پرہیزگاری کرنے کی سمجھ دی (۸) کہ جس نے (اپنے) نفس (یعنی روح) کو پاک رکھا وہ مراد کو پہنچا (۹) اور جس نے اسے خاک میں ملایا وہ خسارے میں رہا (۱۰) (قوم) ثمود نے اپنی سرکشی کے سبب (پیغمبر کو) جھٹلایا (۱۱) جب ان میں سے ایک نہایت بدبخت اٹھا (۱۲) تو خدا کے پیغمبر (صالح) نے ان سے کہا کہ خدا کی اونٹنی اور اس کے پانی پینے کی باری سے عذر کرو (۱۳) مگر انہوں نے پیغمبر کو جھٹلایا اور اونٹنی کی کونچیں کاٹ دیں تو خدا نے ان کےگناہ کے سبب ان پر عذاب نازل کیا اور سب کو (ہلاک کر کے) برابر کر دیا (۱۴) اور اس کو ان کے بدلہ لینے کا کچھ بھی ڈر نہیں (۱۵)
