The Quran (Chapter 53) An-Najm سورة النّجْم

An-Najm In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful By the star when it disappears, (or vanishes). (1) Your companion (Muhammad S.A.W) has neither gone astray nor has erred. (2) Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. (3) It is only a Revelation revealed. At-Tahrim In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful O Prophet! Why do you forbid (for yourself) that which Allâh has allowed to you, seeking to please your wives? And Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (1) Allâh has already ordained for you (O men), the absolution from your oaths. And Allâh is your Maula (Lord, or Master, or Protector) and He is the All-Knower, the All-Wise. (2) And (remember) when the Prophet (SAW) disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his wives (Hafsah), then she told it (to another i.e. ‘Aishah), and Allâh made it known to him, he informed part thereof and left a part. Al-Haaqqa In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful The Inevitable (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)! (1) What is the Inevitable? (2) And what will make you know what the Inevitable is? (3) Thamûd and ‘Ad people denied the Qâri’ah [the striking Hour (of Judgement)]! (4) As for Thamûd, they were destroyed by the awful cry! (5) And as for ‘Ad, they were destroyed by a furious violent wind! (6) Which Allâh imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms! Al-Maarij In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful A questioner asked concerning a torment about to befall (1) Upon the disbelievers, which none can avert, (2) From Allâh, the Lord of the ways of ascent. (3) The angels and the Rûh [Jibril (Gabriel)] ascend to Him in a Day the measure whereof is fifty thousand years. (4) So be patient (O Muhammad SAW ), with a good patience. (5) Verily! they see it (the torment) afar off. (6) But We see it (quite) near. (7) The Day that the sky will be like the boiling filth of oil, (or molten copper or silver or lead). (8) And the mountains will be like flakes of wool.
